Custom Festive & Pooja Decor for Your Home
I blend my architectural background with traditional craft to create unique, eco-friendly festive decor that feels like a personal part of your home.
Part 1 of our Ganpati decoration project. It all starts with an idea and a lot of teamwork. Here you can see my family helping me bring the design to life.
Part 2 of the Ganpati decoration process. We are building a miniature village scene, complete with a bullock cart and a rustic hut, all handmade for our Bappa.
From a 3D model on my laptop to a fully realized makhar, this video shows the journey of creating our Ganpati decoration for 2024. It's a true blend of my architecture background and my love for art.
Diwali is incomplete without a beautiful rangoli. This video shows the making of a large portrait rangoli for Lakshmi Poojan, a team effort filled with color and festive spirit.
This is a traditional 'Tatavarcha Rumal', a decorative cover for a food plate, which I've handmade with crochet. The vibrant, multi-colored design with 3D petals makes it a beautiful centerpiece for any pooja or meal.
Another design for a crochet rumal, this one features a simple and elegant pattern with a red rose at the center. It’s perfect for placing over a thali during religious ceremonies.
Here are three of my handmade crochet rumals together, showing the variety of patterns and colors I can create. Each one is a unique piece of functional art for your home.
I also make these small crochet asans for placing idols in your home temple. This lovely purple one provides a beautiful and soft seat for a little brass Krishna idol.
A simple and pure white crochet asan for your Bal Krishna or other small idols. It adds a delicate, handmade touch to your pooja space.
This peach-colored crochet asan brings a warm and gentle feel to the home mandir. It’s a small detail that makes your daily worship even more special.
About Custom Festive & Pooja Decor
I do not just assemble decorations. I use my architectural training to design and build these makhars from 3D models first, ensuring they are sturdy, perfectly scaled for your specific idol, and 100 percent eco-friendly.
When you bring a festive decor piece into your space, it should feel like it belongs there, not like a temporary setup. That is why I rely on my architecture degree to design each makhar. I move from initial 3D modeling to physical assembly, using corrugated sheets and mount-board to ensure a structure that is both aesthetic and functional. We completely avoid thermocol, keeping the process sustainable and clean.
Beyond the larger backdrops, I find joy in the smaller details that complete a pooja space. My handmade crochet asans, or seats, are designed to give your idols a soft, vibrant perch. Whether it is a deep purple for a brass Krishna or a traditional red and white for your home temple, these are made to be reused year after year.
I also hand-paint items like Diwali kandeels, focusing on themes that matter to your family. Since everything is handmade by me, I encourage you to share your specific vision. If you have a favorite color palette, a specific temple facade you want to replicate, or a theme for your Ganpati, just let me know. We will chat about the feasibility and materials before I start building.
