Real Life as a Rhythmic Gymnast
Behind the scenes of our Varthur studio—where we balance world-class technique with a whole lot of fun. Yes, that includes the occasional cry and the backflips.
A fun "Point of View" video showing the real life of a rhythmic gymnast. Yes, we do splits while studying, and yes, sometimes we just need to cry it out!
Here I am helping a student with her oversplit, a key flexibility skill. As you can see at the end, sometimes their favorite exercise is running away from the hard work!
Once a gymnast, always a gymnast. Having some fun and doing flips at a trampoline park because you can take the gymnast out of the gym, but you can't take the gym out of the gymnast.
Just two coaches having fun with ribbons. We love this sport and enjoy every moment, whether we are training for a competition or just dancing in the studio.
Spreading some Bollywood vibes in Tashkent! Even during intense competition trips, we always find time to dance and have a little fun.
About this collection
I always suggest starting with a free demo session to see how we train. Rhythmic gymnastics is intense, but I promise the environment is supportive—we balance high-level flexibility training with actual, genuine fun. It’s the best way to see if our coaching style and our matted floor setup here in Varthur are the right fit for your goals.
At Stellar Gymnastics, being a gymnast isn't just about sticking a landing or perfecting a penche. It is about building a foundation that lasts. Whether you are looking for rhythmic gymnastics classes for kids or advanced coaching for yourself, my approach is simple: hard work is non-negotiable, but if we aren't laughing while we stretch, we are doing it wrong.
Why Train With Me?
My training philosophy combines my experience as an FIG Level 2 judge with a realistic, modern approach to fitness. We don't just focus on the apparatus—rope, hoop, ball, clubs, and ribbon—but on the athleticism behind it. We integrate ballet fundamentals to ensure your posture is correct, and we use HIIT routines designed specifically for gymnastic power.
What to Expect
- Flexibility & Core: We work on oversplits and core stability using bands, wall bars, and coach-assisted stretching.
- The 'Real' Stuff: From competition choreography to mastering apparatus handling, I teach you what judges actually look for at the World Cup level.
- The Vibe: It is not a military camp. We share laughs, celebrate the small wins, and sometimes, yes, we have to cry it out when the training gets tough. That is part of the journey.
If you are in Bengaluru and want to build strength, discipline, and a bit of swag, let’s get you started. Check out our beginner programs or come by the Varthur studio to see a session in action.
