About this collection
Choosing to compete is a serious step, and it starts with understanding the FIG Code of Points. We don't just drill moves; we map out your execution scores and difficulty levels so you know exactly where you stand before you hit the competition floor. It is about precision, not just practice.
Transitioning from recreational gymnastics to the competition circuit requires a shift in mindset. In my Varthur studio, we move beyond basic flexibility. Whether you are aiming for CBSE Nationals or eyeing international invitational meets like the Kohinoor Cup, you need a roadmap that balances athletic power with artistic expression.
The Competitive Roadmap
- Technical Mastery: We focus on the big five: Hoop, Ball, Clubs, Ribbon, and Rope. Each apparatus demands a different set of body difficulties. We break down 'penche', 'illusions', and 'walkovers' until they become muscle memory.
- The Scoring Game: As an FIG Level 2 judge, I teach my students to see their routine through a judge's eyes. We analyze every second to maximize your difficulty scores and minimize execution deductions. You aren't just performing; you are strategically building a score.
- Custom Choreography: A routine has to tell a story. I work on 90-second sequences with music editing to ensure the beats match your movement. It is the difference between a good routine and one that grabs the judges' attention.
Why Train With Us?
It is not just about the medals, though we certainly have a few on the shelf. It is about the 'fail, laugh, try again' cycle that builds character. I have traveled to Uzbekistan and beyond with my students, and I have seen firsthand that the confidence built on the competition floor translates to every other part of life. We keep training sessions intense, but we also keep them real. If you are ready to put in the hours—5 to 6 days a week—and commit to the grind, I will make sure you are ready to compete at the highest level.
