My Life as a Competitive Gymnast
It started when I was three, and honestly, gymnastics never really left me. From world-stage competition floors to training my students in Bengaluru, here is a glimpse into the discipline, the travel, and the pure joy of this sport.
Rhythmic gymnastics is my superpower. Here I am practicing a solo routine with the ball, combining dance, acrobatics, and apparatus handling. This is the level of artistry and technical skill that I love sharing with my students.
This video is a little montage of my life, from my love for my dog to my passion for rhythmic gymnastics. It shows the strength and grace I've built through years of training, and how the discipline of the sport is a part of who I am.
Once a gymnast, always a gymnast. The trampoline is a soft spot for every one of us, and I can never resist a few flips. It’s a reminder that the skills we learn stay with us, and it’s important to always keep that playful spirit alive.
My love for gymnastics has taken me around the world, including to Tashkent, Uzbekistan. This video captures some of the fun moments from my travels. It's a reminder of the incredible experiences and friendships this sport brings into my life.
About My Journey as a Gymnast
A lot of people think gymnastics is just for Olympians or kids, but the truth is, the discipline and flexibility you gain here are life-changing for adults too. In my classes, we don't just drill routines; we fix your posture and unlock range of motion you probably didn't know you had. If you're feeling stiff from desk work or just want to try something that actually challenges your body without being boring, let's talk about where you are starting from.
Beyond the Ribbons
Gymnastics is more than just ribbons and hoops. It is a lens through which I see the world. Whether I am judging at the World Cup, coaching in Tashkent, or working with a student on their first penche, the core principles remain the same: resilience and technical precision. I carry that same intensity into every class I host here in Bengaluru.
My Coaching Approach
I am FIG-certified, which means I hold my sessions to international standards. However, that does not mean they are stiff or intimidating. We use wall bars, resistance straps, and a lot of humor to make progress happen.
- For the Aspiring Gymnast: If you or your child are chasing medals, we focus on the foundations—strength, ballet-inspired posture, and apparatus handling. We build the base that makes the big moves possible.
- For the Everyday Adult: Most of my adult clients come to me feeling 'stiff.' They are tired of the same old gym routine. My sessions mix stretching and conditioning to help you stand taller and move better. It is hard work, kabhi kabhi it even hurts, but the feeling of finally hitting a split or a backbend is unmatched.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is it too late for me to start? Absolutely not. You do not need to be a child prodigy to benefit from gymnastics training. If you can move, you can improve. We meet you exactly at your level of flexibility.
What if I am not naturally flexible? That is exactly why you come to me. We use manual manipulation, PNF stretching, and biomechanical diagnosis to identify exactly why you are tight—be it your hip flexors or hamstrings—and work on it safely.
What should I expect in a private session? These are 60-minute deep dives. We use video analysis to look at your movement patterns in real-time, so you get immediate, actionable feedback. No fluff, just results.
