Advanced Flexibility Techniques
Whether you are struggling with stiff hips or chasing that perfect penche, I am here to guide you safely. We move beyond simple stretches into real, measurable mobility.
Achieving an elegant penche requires a combination of flexibility, strength, and balance. In this photo, I am providing hands-on assistance to a student, ensuring she maintains correct form while safely deepening the stretch. This is the kind of personalized attention I provide for advanced skill development.
Pushing for an oversplit requires patience and proper support. Here, I'm carefully assisting a student to help her achieve a greater range of motion safely. The playful moment afterward shows the fun and supportive atmosphere of our classes, even during tough training.
We use a variety of tools to enhance flexibility training. In this clip from our summer camp, a student uses a resistance strap and wall bars to deepen her stretch and build active flexibility. This method allows for controlled, progressive stretching to achieve goals safely.
About Advanced Flexibility Techniques
You won't find generic 'stretch-and-hold' routines here. In these sessions, I use PNF stretching and manual adjustments to safely push your muscles past their current limits. Whether we’re working on oversplits or fixing a tight hip flexor, I am there to spot you, ensuring you hit that depth without the risk of injury.
People often tell me they’re ‘just getting old’ when they lose mobility. I call that bluff. Stiffness is usually just a lack of consistent, purposeful movement. My approach to advanced flexibility is about breaking down that barrier between where you are and where you want to be.
How we work
We don’t just sit in a static split. I incorporate active flexibility using resistance straps and wall bars. These tools allow us to create resistance, which signals your brain to let the muscle relax further. It’s science, not just sweat.
Why private assisted sessions?
Sometimes, you just need a second pair of eyes—and hands. In my private sessions, I perform a biomechanical diagnosis to identify exactly why that split won't go down. Is it a tight hamstring, or is your hip flexor locking you up? Once we know, we use PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) techniques to unlock that range in a single session.
Safety first (always)
I’ve judged at World Cups and Asian Games trials—I know what a safe range of motion looks like versus a dangerous one. I provide constant physical spotting, especially for inversions and deep backbends. You’ll feel a little sore, maybe even grumble at a few drills, but you will progress safely.
