Realistic mehendi portraits capturing your loved ones or idols, from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj to family members, crafted with precision using stencil-transfer and fine hand-shading.

A powerful portrait of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on the palm. The word 'Maharaj' is written on the fingers, and the detailed shading captures his iconic profile.

This video shows my process for creating a complex portrait. I use a stencil to get the perfect outline of Shivaji Maharaj, and then I do all the intricate shading and detail work by hand.

A tribute portrait of the great Lata Mangeshkar, surrounded by musical notes. This is a perfect example of how I can create a likeness of any public figure from a photo.

A portrait of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar on the forearm, with a quote in Marathi. Creating portraits of respected leaders is an honor, and I focus on capturing their dignified expression.

Watch the process of creating a Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar portrait, from placing the stencil to the final henna application. This technique ensures accuracy for detailed figures.

A realistic mehendi portrait of actor Dulquer Salmaan. I love the challenge of capturing a person's smile and expression using only henna.

A short video showing a beautiful portrait of a woman in traditional attire on the palm. The shading on her saree and jewelry gives the design a lovely 3D effect.

The final still image of the traditional woman portrait. The clean lines and detailed finishing make this a beautiful piece of figurative art.

This image shows my mehendi portrait of Shivaji Maharaj next to the original reference sketch. You can see how I translate the drawing into a detailed henna design.

A short reel showcasing the finished Shivaji Maharaj portrait, comparing it to the reference drawing. It highlights the accuracy and detail of my portrait work.

About Custom Portraits (People & Icons)

I do not just sketch in henna. To get that lifelike 3D effect, I use a stencil-transfer for the base, ensuring every feature is accurate. Then, I spend hours on the fine shading by hand, bringing depth to eyes, clothes, and expressions. If you have a specific photo, I can turn it into art on your palm—just send it over 2-3 days before the event.

How I Create Your Portrait

Portrait mehendi is a mix of patience and technique. People often ask me how I get the faces to look so real. The secret isn't just one thing—it is a combination of accurate stencilling and hours of freehand shading. I start with your high-resolution reference photos. Since details like the angle of the eyes or the fold of a pheta (turban) matter, I use a stencil to fix the outline first. Once the base is set, the actual work begins. I use a fine 0.3mm tip cone to build the shadows, which creates the 3D depth that makes the person stand out on your skin.

What We Can Create

I treat every portrait as a tribute. Whether it is a respected historical figure like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, a spiritual guide, or a family member, I focus on capturing their essence.

  • Historical & Spiritual Figures: I have deep experience with Shivaji Maharaj, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, and divine figures like Radha-Krishna or Vithal-Rukmini.
  • Personal Portraits: Want a tribute to a loved one or a caricature of a special memory? Send me a clear photo and we will discuss how to frame it, whether in a floral wreath or a traditional jharokha (window-style) frame.
  • Couple Stories: For weddings, I can weave your love story into your palm with bride and groom portraits, integrating your names and wedding dates into the design.

Practical Advice

  • Photos: Please share high-resolution images. The clearer the photo, the better the shading I can do.
  • Placement: Portraits need space. A palm is great for a single face, while your forearm works better for detailed storytelling sleeves.
  • Time: These are not quick designs. Depending on the complexity, a single portrait takes 60-90 minutes, and couple sets can take up to 3.5 hours. Plan your time accordingly so we don't have to rush.
