Custom Story & Portrait Mehendi Designs
I turn your personal memories—like love stories, family portraits, and special dates—into detailed henna art. Whether it is a bride and groom sketch or a meaningful baby shower design, let’s make your mehendi truly yours.
This video shows the process and final result of a romantic couple portrait. I love capturing these moments of love and affection in my henna art, creating a design that is truly personal.

A powerful depiction of Durga Maa, created with henna on a practice sheet. I focus on capturing the goddess's fierce expression and the intricate details of her form and the temple behind her.
About Custom Story & Portrait Mehendi
Creating a realistic portrait in henna is delicate work. I use a fine-tip cone to sketch facial features, focusing on the expression in the eyes and the detailing of jewelry. For a perfect result, I need about 6 to 8 hours for these designs, so I always recommend scheduling this for a quiet time before the chaos of your wedding festivities begins.
When you choose a portrait design, we aren't just applying henna; we are documenting a part of your life. Whether it is a side profile of the bride, a caricature of the groom, or a scene from a traditional doli, the goal is to make it look like a sketch on your skin.
My Process
I start by understanding what matters to you. Is it a specific wedding date? A hashtag? Or maybe the face of a loved one? I prefer to see reference photos beforehand so I can practice the line work. For realistic figure work, I use a specialized organic paste that allows for smoother, thinner lines compared to regular bridal mehendi.
Why Portraits Need Time
These designs are intricate. A standard bridal design is complex, but a portrait requires total focus and steadiness. I suggest you block out a full day for this. The henna needs to dry thoroughly to ensure the stain deepens properly.
Beyond Weddings
I love doing these for baby showers and Karwa Chauth, too. Seeing 'Aai' and 'Baba' written in Marathi or a custom family portrait brings so much joy. If you are in Mumbai or planning a destination wedding, we can discuss the design in detail. Let’s make something that you will look at and smile about for years.
