From Corporate Life to Classical Hatha Yoga
I used to define success by numbers. Now, I define it by how I sit with myself. This is the story of how my life shifted from the corporate grind to the stillness of Classical Hatha Yoga.
People tell me I don't dress up anymore. How can I explain that I no longer need a mirror to see myself? I simply close my eyes. This short video captures my shift from an external, corporate identity to a more joyful, internal one.
People think the spiritual path is about 'finding yourself'. Honestly, I feel more lost than ever. But because I know Sadhguru's grace is there, I can afford to be lost and be joyful at the same time. Logic will never allow you to surrender, but this path is not about logic.
This practice doesn't just work on your body. It has a way of bringing back a childlike joy and effortlessness into your life. Many who practice regularly find that stress and anxiety become a thing of the past, replaced by a simple, profound happiness.
About My Journey: From CA to Yogi
Transitioning from a CA's life to teaching wasn't about quitting the world, but finding a way to live it differently. These practices are not just for back pain or flexibility; they are designed to give you a tool for inner stability that you can carry into your own corporate or personal life, regardless of how chaotic your day gets.
My Shift in Perspective
For years, my life was defined by audits, deadlines, and the logic of a Chartered Accountant. I treated my body like a machine—if it ached, I fixed it; if it was tired, I pushed it. Yoga was just another task on the to-do list, something to stretch out a stiff back after sitting in a cubicle.
Then, I encountered Isha Hatha Yoga. It wasn't about 'finding myself' in the way self-help books promise; it was about realizing that I was looking in the wrong direction the whole time. The practice taught me that stability isn't something you get from your job title or your bank balance. It comes from how you manage your own system.
Why This Path Matters
Many students come to me with the same skepticism I once had. They think they need props, soothing music, or an hour of 'me time' to relax. But Classical Hatha Yoga, as I teach it, is different.
- It is self-sustaining: Once you learn the mechanics of Surya Kriya or Bhuta Shuddhi, you don't need me anymore. You own the practice.
- It is scientific: There is no guesswork. We align the body and breath to create specific outcomes, whether that is increased energy, better focus, or just the ability to sit still.
- It is grounded: You will learn how to integrate these techniques into a busy, high-stress lifestyle. We don't ask you to live in a cave; we teach you how to function better in the real world.
The Choice is Yours
Whether you are looking for relief from stress or seeking a deeper sense of balance, the process is the same. It requires discipline and a willingness to be a student again. If you are tired of the constant 'noise' of corporate life and want to try a different approach, let’s talk.
