About Kathak Performances
I see Kathak as a living journey - rooted in the guru shishya parampara, but always growing. Every time I step onto the stage, whether it's my own solo or with my students, I feel that same spark from when I first started. Dance feels like home to me.
What I Offer
- Solo pieces: Intimate, expressive, perfect for focused settings. These could be classic or my own take on nature and new themes.
- Duets: There’s a unique energy when two dancers bounce off each other, especially with festival or conceptual pieces.
- Group shows: My troupe, Sāttvatī, brings together students at all levels. It’s vibrant and coordinated, great for big stages or special occasions.
What We Dance
- Traditional Kathak choreography: Expect Tarana, Dhrupad, Kavith - the same pieces I learned from my Gurus, shared with fresh energy.
- Storytelling through Kathak: My heart is in mythological and spiritual stories, like Ramayan or scenes from Mahashivaratri.
- Sufi Kathak dance: For those who want something meditative, we offer this soulful blend of Kathak and Sufi music.

My Story
It’s been ages since Kathak became my world—started at 12, still grooving at 26. My gurus, my parents, always behind me, giving me all the push. Dance isn’t just steps, it’s guru-shishya parampara, passing magic down generations. That’s why I built Sāttvatī School of Dance. My students? My kids. We laugh, mess up, crush it on stage, eat cake on Teacher’s Day. Every small win, every first step, fills me up.
My Work
Kathak Classes & Performances - We run beginner Kathak classes, kids Kathak lessons, and special Sufi Kathak workshops, both online and offline.
Our Locations - Main studio’s in Banashankari 6th Stage, with batches at Jayanagar, Koramangala, and online for anyone, anywhere.
How We Teach - Strong basics—posture, footwork, rhythm—but lots of masti (fun). Students are family. We dance, rain or shine.
All Arts Welcome - Not just Kathak! We do community dance workshops and host Bharatanatyam, Odissi, and movement therapy sessions too.
Performances - We hit big stages—Sangeet Natak Akademi, Hosur Natyanjali. Students get to shine, like in our 'ARAMBH' show.
