Kathak Dance Workshops for Kids in Delhi
Introduce your child to the grace of Indian classical dance. Our workshops at Mandi House focus on Taatkaar and rhythm, helping budding performers build confidence and physical fitness.
The magic of the stage comes alive as our young Kathak performers present their learnings. This performance from our 'Sarvaang' showcase highlights the beautiful postures, coordinated movements, and confidence our students gain through our Indian cultural activity camps.
Our summer Kathak workshop is designed as an introduction to basic movements for ages 6 to 16. This image provides all the details for our 'Nritya Aarambh' sessions, where students explore taatkaar, hastaks, and taal.
In our Kathak workshops, students learn more than just dance; they enhance their grace, fitness, and mental focus. This session shows our young dancers practicing their movements, building a strong foundation in this expressive art form.
We offer focused Kathak training with professional artists to help bring out the performer in every child. Our summer workshops are structured to teach the basics of dance movement and Taal, enhancing flexibility and mental health.
About Kathak Dance Workshops
Unlike standard dance classes, our sessions include live Tabla or Harmonium accompaniment. This allows students to develop a natural understanding of Taal and Laya rather than relying on recorded tracks. It makes the experience of learning footwork and expressions significantly more immersive and grounded in classical tradition.
Nritya Aarambh: Building a Classical Foundation
At our Mandi House campus, we believe that Kathak is a conversation between the dancer and the rhythm. Our workshops, structured across 3 to 4 weeks, focus on providing a strong technical foundation for students aged 5 to 16. We divide our training into age-appropriate groups to ensure every child receives the necessary attention to master their Taatkaar and Hastaks.
