A look into the heart of Samarpana. From the grace of our stage performances to the rhythmic discipline of our classes in Bangalore, these moments reflect the Mohiniyattam tradition we live by.

(Hero Item) The essence of Mohiniyattam is captured in a single moment of performance. This is our student Soumya, fully immersed in her art, showcasing the expressive storytelling and graceful movements that we nurture in every dancer at our Bangalore kalari.

Our Samarpana family, united in dance. This group pose captures the synchronicity and collective energy we bring to every performance, a true 'samarpanam' or offering at the lotus feet of the divine.

The foundation of Mohiniyattam begins with the feet. This video shows our younger students practicing 'Chuvadusadhakam', the rhythmic footwork that is a core part of the Bharati Shivaji style we teach. Our classes focus on building these basics with precision and joy.

A candid moment of connection and shared joy during our 'Upaasanaa' workshop. Our kalari is more than a dance studio; it's a space where friendships blossom and our collective spirit is nurtured.

Learning is a symphony of song, rhythm, and movement. Here, we are engrossed in a 'Thauryathrikam' session, where students learn to internalize the music and 'chollu' (rhythmic syllables), a key aspect of our deep-dive teaching methodology.

We proudly announce the maiden Mohiniyattam Arangetram from our kalari. We provide comprehensive training and support for dedicated students to prepare for their solo debut, a significant milestone in a dancer's journey.

Beyond the discipline and practice, there is immense fun and laughter. This is a glimpse into the lighthearted, 'behind-the-scenes' moments from our trip to Guruvayoor, showcasing the true family spirit of Samarpana.

A close-up capturing the profound expression and intricate 'mudra' (hand gesture) of our Guru. This image reflects the depth of tradition and mastery passed down to us, which we share with all our students.

About Featured

When you join our sessions at our Gottigere kalari, you are not just signing up for a class. We focus heavily on the Bharati Shivaji style, starting with 'Chuvadusadhakam' (footwork) and 'Hastha Mudras' (hand gestures). Our batches are kept small, usually 4 to 8 students, so we can provide personal corrections on your posture and swaying movements. We learn together, laugh together, and grow together.
