About Black & White Stories
When we shoot in black and white, we aren't just applying a filter. We look for high-contrast light and raw compositions that color would only distract from. Whether it is the fine texture of a bridal lehenga or the fleeting expression on a parent's face during the vidaai, monochrome turns these split-second moments into something timeless.
Removing color is an intentional choice. It is about stripping the wedding down to its essentials: the geometry of a hug, the stark silhouette against a mandap, or the single tear tracking down a cheek. Color can be overwhelming, but monochrome forces the eye to settle on the interaction.
The Analog Connection
We bring this classic aesthetic into the modern era by mixing digital precision with 35mm analog film. There is a grit to film that digital sensors struggle to replicate. When we load a roll of Kentmere or Ilford film, we are chasing a specific kind of nostalgia: a grain that feels like memory itself.
Our Approach
- We do not ask you to pose for these; we watch where the light hits.
- We look for the in-between moments that reveal your true dynamic.
- We prioritize composition that highlights the subject rather than the setting.
Whether we are shooting in the grand halls of the Taj Mahal Palace or a quiet, intimate home setup, our goal remains the same. We want to make images that look just as relevant fifty years from now as they do today. It is about creating a visual archive of your family that stands the test of time.
