Behind the Scenes: How We Create Your Family Portraits
Curious how those candid moments come to life? See the setup, the guidance, and the care that goes into every session at my Lower Parel studio.
Here are the six things I promise every client: creativity, individuality, collaboration, guidance, quality, and a fun experience. It's my commitment to you.
My one piece of advice for any family photoshoot is to be present. Forget the camera, focus on each other, and let the real moments unfold.
Hearing from happy clients is the best part of my job! Thank you to this wonderful family for sharing their experience at my studio.
A little behind-the-scenes peek at a maternity shoot. It's all about making the couple feel comfortable, connected, and beautiful.
From an empty floor to a cozy boho setup. Watch how I transform a corner of my studio to create the perfect shot.
A lot of love and detail goes into preparing each setup. This video shows the prep for a rustic, nature-inspired baby shoot.

About this collection
Getting a great photo of a toddler is rarely about a camera setting. It takes patience, silly jokes, and knowing exactly when to hit the shutter. In my studio, we do not rush. We play, we change outfits, and we wait for that real smile that usually happens right when you think we are done.
Every session is built on a simple premise: you cannot force a memory, but you can create the space for one to happen. Whether it is a messy cake smash in Lower Parel or a quiet maternity portrait, the technical preparation is only half the work. I spend hours getting the lighting and props right, from boho canopies to vintage bathtubs, before you even walk through the door. This means when you arrive, we are not wasting time fixing things. We jump straight into the fun.
Parents often worry about their kids not sitting still, but that is where the best shots come from. I provide a pre-session guide to help with wardrobe and color coordination, so you are not stressing about what to wear. When you are in front of the lens, I am not looking for stiff, perfect posture. I am looking for the way you hold your baby, the way you laugh, or that quiet look of love between partners. The work continues long after the session, too. Editing is where I bring out those raw, emotional tones, especially in my favorite black and white portraits. It is a slow, thoughtful process to make sure every file you receive is a finished piece of art, not just a snapshot.
Ruchita K Jain
I am Ruchita. I believe photos should be about freezing a feeling, not just capturing a face. If you are looking for stiff poses, I might not be your person, but if you want to laugh, play, and just be your family, we will get along perfectly.
