Natural Outdoor Family Photography in Mumbai
There is a special magic in shooting outdoors, where the light is soft and children can just be themselves. I love capturing these candid, warm moments in Mumbai's beautiful parks and scenic spots.

About this collection
Outdoor shoots are all about letting go of the stress that usually comes with photoshoots. We will meet during the golden hour to get that soft, warm light, and I will handle the heavy lifting, from transporting props to scouting the perfect quiet corner. Your only job is to be present with your kids while I chase the giggles and the real, messy joy.
Nature offers the best backdrop for authentic family photos. Whether it is a quiet park in the city or a scenic garden, shooting outdoors gives us space to move, run, and play.
My Approach to Outdoor Shoots
I believe in keeping things relaxed. If we try to force a child to sit still and smile at the camera for two hours, we lose the magic. Instead, I bring props like boho canopies or picnic baskets to create a focal point, then I step back. This lets your family interact naturally while I capture the candid shots that actually mean something later.
Why Golden Hour?
I always recommend scheduling our session for the golden hour, which is the time just after sunrise or just before sunset. The light is soft and glowing, which is perfect for capturing skin tones and creating that dreamy, warm aesthetic. We want to avoid the harsh midday sun, as it creates unflattering shadows and makes it harder for everyone to stay comfortable.
Logistics and Planning
Many parents worry about the logistics of an outdoor family photoshoot in Mumbai. Do not worry about carrying props or setting up tents. I handle the equipment transport and setup so you can focus on getting your kids ready and in a good mood. If you have a specific spot in mind, let me know, but I also have a list of trusted locations across the city that work beautifully for lifestyle photography and kids' portraits.
We typically aim for a session duration of about 3 hours. This gives us enough time for outfit changes and plenty of breaks for snacks or calming down, because happy, comfortable kids are the secret to great photos.
Ruchita K Jain
I am Ruchita, and I am happiest when I am chasing sunlight with a camera in hand. I do not believe in stiff posing, so I would rather chase your little ones around a park until we catch those genuine, messy, happy giggles. Let’s get outside and make some real memories together.
