Celebrating Your Little One's Traditions
I believe traditions are the threads that connect us. Whether it is the excitement of Janmashtami or the bond of Rakhi, I design fun, vibrant studio setups to capture the magic of these days as they happen.
Capturing the magic of Rakhi before it becomes a memory. This video shows the sweet moments between siblings during my sunflower-themed mini sessions.
Announcing my Rakhi Minis for 2025! These sessions are all about celebrating the precious bond between siblings in a beautiful, themed setup.
A playful moment between brothers during our Rakhi mini-session. The field of sunflowers creates such a happy and warm backdrop.
Two brothers, one sweet bond. These Rakhi portraits are more than just photos, they are a celebration of family and love.
Our little Krishna sitting in a sea of marigolds. The vibrant colors and textures in my Janmashtami setups make for such joyful photos.
A happy little Kanha on his throne. The colorful, traditional props I use for Janmashtami shoots create a truly festive atmosphere.
A more contemplative little Krishna. I love capturing the different moods and expressions of the babies during these sessions.
About this collection
For these festive sessions, I handle all the heavy lifting. I design the full set—from floral arches to tiny props—so you just need to bring your child. Since these shoots are interactive, I always keep plenty of time for breaks, snacks, or a quick cuddle if they get overwhelmed, because a happy child always makes for a better photo than a perfectly posed one.
My goal with every festival shoot is to create a space where your child feels like themselves, not a model. Traditional festival photography can sometimes feel stiff, but I prefer to focus on the joy and the 'natkhat' (mischievous) energy.
When we plan for Janmashtami, we aren't just taking a picture; we are creating a small world for your little Krishna. I use fresh elements—marigold garlands, peacock feathers, and clay pots—to build a setup that feels authentic and colorful. For Rakhi, I often opt for sunflower themes or warm, rustic backgrounds that highlight the sibling connection rather than just the outfits.
What happens in the studio?
- The Setup: Every backdrop is pre-designed at my Lower Parel studio. You walk in, and everything is ready.
- Flexibility: Kids are unpredictable. Whether they want to eat the cake, play with the props, or sit in your lap, we go with the flow. The best photos usually happen during these unplanned moments.
- Wardrobe Help: I provide guidance on how to style your child's ethnic wear so it complements the set without clashing with it.
Why choose a professional festival session?
It saves you the stress of finding props, setting up lighting at home, and worrying about whether the background looks right. You get high-resolution, professionally edited images that are print-ready. Many parents use these specifically for festival greetings to share with family, or simply as a way to document how their little one is growing, one celebration at a time.

Hi, I’m Ruchita. I started these festival shoots because I wanted families to have more than just a quick phone snap during the holidays. I handle all the styling and props in my Lower Parel studio, so you can just walk in, relax, and focus on the fun.
