My Musical Journey and Collaborative Performances
Music is more than just notes on a page, it is a shared conversation. Explore my story, the spontaneous moments behind the scenes, and the joy of creating rhythm and melody with fellow artists.
I wanted to share my story about Hanumanthanagar Bimba, the place that first discovered my potential and encouraged my parents to get me formal training. It's the reason I believe so strongly in giving back and helping kids find their own love for the arts.
A spontaneous Konnakol and dance jam session in a hotel room with my good friends and fellow artists. These moments of creativity and fun are what make the life of a performer so special.
About My Musical Journey & Collaborations
My musical roots trace back to Bimba in Hanumanthanagar, where I first learned that music is about connection and community. Whether it is a spontaneous Konnakol jam in a hotel room or a formal performance, these collaborative moments are what keep my rhythm alive and inform how I teach my students today.
Music is not just a profession for me, it is a way to give back what I have received—a philosophy I live by, like 'Kereya Neeranu Kerege Chelli' (giving the lake's water back to the lake). My path began at Bimba in Hanumanthanagar. It was not just about learning notes, it was about understanding that music is a community, a shared experience that includes theatre, dance, and administration.
Today, that foundation shapes how I approach everything—whether I am teaching Carnatic vocal basics to beginners, helping a child overcome stage fear at a summer camp, or performing Konnakol in a live Bharatanatyam ensemble. Collaboration is where the real magic happens. There is a raw, unplanned energy in a spontaneous jam session with fellow artists that you simply cannot manufacture.
That same energy is what I bring to my teaching. I want my students to find that 'kalabhiruchi' (love for the arts) early, in an environment that is warm, open, and free of judgment. If you are looking to explore Carnatic music, dive into the rhythmic world of Konnakol, or collaborate on a performance, let's connect. From private mentorship for professionals to group sessions for kids across Bengaluru, my goal is to keep the rhythm going, together.
