The entrance sets the tone for your entire home. I designed this entrance with a custom safety door and a backlit nameplate to create a welcoming and secure first impression, showing the transformation from a basic doorway to a stylish entry.

About Welcoming Entrances & Foyers
In most Mumbai apartments, your entrance is a high-traffic zone that needs to manage security and storage simultaneously. I focus on creating foyer units that aren't just decorative; they serve a purpose. We use slim-profile cabinets with ventilation for shoes, integrated seating for convenience, and smart lighting to make a small area feel open. When I design these, I ensure the safety door integrates seamlessly with the interior decor, so it looks like a single, cohesive unit rather than an add-on.
Designing for Security and Style
A great entrance needs to be two things: secure and welcoming. My approach to foyers starts with the safety door. I use 32mm flush doors reinforced with custom laser-cut MS or SS grills. These aren't just standard off-the-shelf grills; we design them with patterns that match your interior aesthetic, whether you prefer traditional geometric motifs or modern, clean lines.
Solving the Storage Problem
Space is premium, and I don't want your foyer to feel cluttered with footwear. I build custom plywood shoe cabinets with louvers for ventilation, which prevents that typical 'shoe smell' in enclosed entryways. These units are often designed with cushioned bench seating on top, making it easy to wear or remove shoes without balancing on one leg.
The Finishing Touches
It is the small details that make a design look premium. I incorporate:
