We were deeply saddened by the loss of our founder, Poonam Bir Kasturi. She was a visionary who made the 'khamba' a household word. We promise to carry her legacy forward and work towards her dream of having a composter in every Indian home.
When asked if this was her hobby, our founder Poonam's response was clear: "18 years... hobby? 100% professional." Her passion and dedication turned a simple idea into a nationwide movement that has empowered over 90,000 families.
Our founder Poonam often debated the common question: "What will we do with all the compost?" Her answer was simple: having too much compost is a good problem to have. It is far better than the alternative of having too much waste in landfills.
While we have been recognized with awards and even appeared on Shark Tank India, our greatest reward is seeing people use our composters and make composting a part of their lives. That is the real measure of our success.
