We are a mother-daughter team running a studio in Vashi where art is less about perfection and more about expression.
We are Renuka and Swati, the mother-daughter team behind this art zone. We started this studio to share our love for textile arts and create a space where anyone can feel welcome to explore their creative side.
This is my mom, Swati. With over 25 years of experience in art education, she is the heart of our studio and an expert in techniques like one-stroke painting and fabric art. Her passion is making art accessible to everyone.
About Meet Your Instructors: Swati & Renuka
When you step into our studio, you won't find intimidating or silent classrooms. My mom, Swati, is known for her direct, hands-on style, often telling students, 'Bada banao' (make it bigger) if their work feels too timid, or urging them to draw directly instead of using crutches. We believe in getting the fundamentals right, but we do it with a lot of warmth, laughter, and zero pressure.
Renuka's Art Zone is a place where we blend 26 years of traditional teaching with modern design perspectives. My mom, Swati, brings the core experience—she has taught thousands of students and is the heart of the studio. Her approach is rooted in discipline but softened by a deep desire to see students flourish. I (Renuka) add the NID and NIFT perspective, focusing on multimedia and textile arts, ensuring our sessions stay fresh and engaging.
We don't believe in 'right' or 'wrong' art. Whether you are a complete beginner feeling nervous or someone looking to refine their skills for Drawing Grade Exams, our studio in Vashi is built to be a safe space. We keep our batches small on purpose because we want to be able to walk around, correct your strokes, and have a chat while you work.
Our philosophy is simple: tension nako ghya (don't take stress). You bring your curiosity, and we provide the materials and guidance to help you create something you are proud of.
