Community Art Workshops & Creative Events

When you step into our studio for a community event, you aren't just joining a class. We keep these batches small so that whether we are teaching Batik dyeing or a Valentine's mix-media canvas, you get actual hands-on correction from us. There is no pressure to be perfect—we are here to help you get the fundamentals right while you enjoy the process of making something with your own hands.

For the past 26 years, our goal has been to make art a regular, stress-free part of life for the Vashi community. We host these special events—like our annual anniversary celebrations or seasonal holiday workshops—because they bring people together who might never pick up a paintbrush otherwise.

Our studio isn't a gallery where you watch; it's a workspace where you get your hands dirty. In our textile sessions, like the Batik or block printing workshops, we walk you through the entire process: wax handling, dye baths, and pattern logic. You will learn the technical details of color fastness and fabric care, but the focus remains on the joy of creating.

We frequently hear from students who were worried that they 'couldn't draw' or didn't have an artistic bone in their body. Our response is always the same: tension nako ghya (don't take stress). We start with the basics, guide you through the strokes, and ensure you leave with a finished piece you are proud of. Whether you are looking for a weekend activity, a unique date, or a way to pick up a new skill, these events are designed to be low-commitment and high-reward. We provide all the materials, from the cotton-silk stoles for Batik to the wooden blocks for printing, so you just need to show up.
