About Traditional Indian Art Workshops
Why I Do This
Art is for everyone. I’ve seen people walk in nervous, and leave with a smile and a painting they never thought they could make. My studio is a chill spot - you come in, forget about perfection, and just enjoy creating.
What You’ll Explore
I run workshops focused on traditional Indian art forms. You don’t need any art background - just curiosity.
- Kerala mural painting workshop: Start with a blank canvas, end with mythological figures and vibrant colours. There’s a deep-dive certificate course or a quick one-day session. Weekend batches too.
- Lippan art classes: Clay, mirrors, and a bit of mess. Make your own wall piece or nameplate. Full course or one-day intro.
- Warli tribal art retreat: Learn geometric tribal art in a rustic setting. It’s simple, but has its own charm.
- Pichwai painting and Madhubani sessions: Family-friendly, even for kids as young as 5.
How I Teach
I’m direct and hands-on. If your drawing’s off, I’ll say, “Gayab ho gaya?” (Has it disappeared?) or “Bada banao, chalo jaldi!” (Make it bigger, come on quick!). No stick figures allowed - I push you to try the real thing. It’s all with love, and no judgment.
What You Get
- All materials provided
- Step-by-step guidance
- Relaxed, creative vibe
- No experience needed
Just bring yourself. Everything else is sorted.

My Story
Hey, we’re Swati and Renuka - Renuka’s Art Zone is our jam. Swati’s the OG here, teaching art for more than 26 years, and she’s mentored thousands. I’m Renuka, got my art chops from NID and NIFT, and I love mixing things up with watercolors and multimedia. Our studio isn’t just about classes - it’s a buzzing spot where people come alive with creativity. Watching folks, young and old, find their groove? That’s what keeps us going.
