About Textile & Fabric Art Workshops
Why I Love Textile Art
Making art with fabric is messy, fun, and honestly, a bit therapeutic. I run these workshops with my mom, Swati, and our studio has been a chill spot for anyone wanting to slow down and try something creative. If you’re looking for a break from screens and want to play with colours, you’ll feel right at home.
What You Can Try
- Block printing workshop for beginners: Learn the old-school Indian way of printing with wooden blocks. You’ll make your own tote bag, and yes, it’s as cool as it sounds.
- Batik dyeing class: Wax, dye, and a bit of magic. You’ll create a Batik stole that’s totally wearable.
- Tapestry weaving experience: Super calming, perfect if you want to de-stress. You’ll weave a textured wall hanging for your space.
- Fabric painting session: My mom’s the pro here. She’ll show you how to paint on tote bags, pouches, or even sarees.
No Experience Needed
Most folks who come in have never tried textile art before. Don’t worry, tension nako ghya (don’t take stress). We’ll guide you, and there’s no right or wrong. Just enjoy making your apna creation (your own creation).
