Art Workshops and Creative Mentorship in Mumbai
Art is a language, and I believe everyone can learn to speak it. Whether you are an architecture student seeking guidance or an enthusiast wanting to explore your inner artist, my studio is where we turn curiosity into craft.
A look back at our year, which was filled with not just creating art but also sharing it. A significant part of my journey is teaching and guiding young architectural minds at DYPSOA, a role I have cherished for over four years.
It was a proud moment for me as a guide to see my architecture students at D.Y. Patil interact with prominent academicians. I am fortunate to work with such dedicated and innovative young minds.
I offer canvas painting workshops and certificate courses for adults in both acrylic and oil mediums. It's a wonderful opportunity for anyone to explore their inner artist and create their own masterpiece in a supportive environment.
We held a community art workshop at the Wind Mill Festival at Jio Garden, inviting kids and families to explore the artist within. It was a weekend filled with creative fun and the pure joy of making art together.
I was absolutely delighted and honored to receive "The Dynamic Entrepreneur of the Year Award" from The Women's Circle. It was a wonderful event celebrating the entrepreneurial journeys of talented women from all walks of life.
I was pleased to exhibit my work at the Kala Spandan Art Fair at the Nehru Centre in Mumbai. It's always a pleasure to connect with art lovers and share my original handmade paintings with a wider audience.
This was a visual arts assignment for my B.Arch students based on a Maheshwar study. They explored Maheshwari tile patterns and motifs, creating beautiful designs through clay molding and metallic coloring. Well done students!
The Artistic Impressions team had a fantastic time conducting an art workshop at the Wind Mill Festival. Seeing the joy on people's faces as they create art is always an amazing and rewarding experience.
After a thousand projects, one truth stands out: trust builds masterpieces. Whether for a small residence or a large commercial space, my studio has earned the trust of clients across Mumbai for over 30 years by delivering with consistency and precision.
Another shot of my students presenting their work. Seeing them articulate their ideas with confidence to experienced professionals is a testament to their hard work and creative potential.
About Art for the Community: Teaching & Workshops
People often ask if they need specific talent to pick up a brush or mold clay, but in my workshops, I see that anyone can create when they learn to observe. We focus on the process—how to layer, how to texture, and how to find your own creative rhythm—rather than just trying to copy a design. My role is to help you move past the fear of the blank canvas.
Learning the Language of Art
I have spent over 35 years in this field, and the most rewarding part of my journey has been sharing what I know. My workshops are not about producing a quick, generic craft; they are about understanding the 'why' behind the art.
For Aspiring Artists & Hobbyists
I conduct acrylic and oil painting workshops for adults, focusing on techniques like blending, texture application, and color theory. These sessions are open to everyone, regardless of your skill level. We work with high-quality materials to ensure that what you take home is a piece you are proud to display. It is a supportive, quiet space where you can disconnect from your daily routine and focus on creation.
Architectural Mentorship
Beyond recreational art, I also mentor B.Arch students, particularly in visual arts assignments. We explore complex topics like Maheshwari tile patterns, clay molding, and 3D conceptualization. These sessions are practical and rigorous, designed to help students bridge the gap between architectural theory and physical reality. We discuss proportions, structural integrity, and how to represent abstract ideas through tactile mediums.
Community and Connection
Art is better when it is shared. Whether I am teaching at the Wind Mill Festival or hosting a private group at my Khar West studio, the goal remains the same: to make art accessible. If you have been looking for a place to practice, experiment, and learn without the pressure of performance, I invite you to join a session. We don’t rush the process; we build it layer by layer.
Artistic Impressions
I am Hansa, and I have spent over three decades not just creating art, but teaching others how to see the world through it. My studio in Khar West is where I guide adults and architecture students alike, helping you peel back the layers and find the artist already inside you.
