Get Internationally Certified as a Mat Pilates Instructor
Turn your passion for movement into a rewarding career. My 50-hour instructor program gives you the PAI-certified skills and anatomy knowledge to teach with absolute confidence.
This video summarizes the opportunity to become an internationally recognized Mat Pilates Instructor through my 50-hour expert-led training. It's your chance to turn your passion into purpose.
Hands-on learning is critical for understanding how to correct form. Here, I'm demonstrating proper spinal alignment in a quadruped position during our Mat Pilates instructor training.
The theory behind the movement is just as important as the practice. I lead a classroom session during the Mat Pilates course, breaking down complex concepts into easy-to-understand principles.
Mastering classic Pilates movements is a key part of the training. Here, I demonstrate a side plank variation on the arc barrel, showcasing the core control and stability we aim to develop.
Peer-to-peer practice is a big part of building teaching confidence. Here, one of my trainees guides her peers through a foundational mat exercise, learning to cue and correct in a supportive setting.
Learning to teach involves observing and guiding others. A trainee instructor takes the lead, guiding her classmates through a prone series while I observe and prepare to give feedback.
My instructor program, in partnership with PAI, New York, is your path to a global career. This image captures the essence of my hands-on teaching style during a mat course.
About this collection
Many training programs skip the science, but you will spend 15 hours focusing purely on anatomy and biomechanics before we ever touch a mat. You need to understand exactly how a body moves to teach it safely, which is why my course prioritizes physical mechanics alongside practical teaching cues so you don't just mimic moves, but actually understand them.
Why PAI-Certified Training Matters
When you commit to becoming an instructor, you want a qualification that carries weight. My training is in partnership with Pilates Academy International (PAI), New York. This ensures that the curriculum you learn meets high global standards. Whether you are a physiotherapist looking to expand your practice or a fitness enthusiast ready for a career pivot, this certification prepares you to teach anywhere.
The Curriculum Breakdown
My 50-hour course is designed to take you from a curious student to a competent teacher. We divide this into two core areas:
- Anatomy & Biomechanics (15 Hours): We start with the science. You will learn musculoskeletal anatomy, joint mechanics, and postural analysis. This is the foundation. If you cannot spot a muscular imbalance, you cannot teach a safe class.
- All Populations Mat (35 Hours): This is where you learn the repertoire. From beginner foundations to intermediate flow dynamics, I teach you how to cue, how to adapt for injuries, and how to program a 55-minute session that feels balanced.
Building Your Teaching Voice
You might know how to perform a side plank or a hundred, but teaching it is a different skill. My sessions are small and hands-on. You will practice cueing your peers, I will observe, and you will receive direct feedback. We focus on how to talk to a room of people, how to manage energy, and how to keep clients safe. This isn't about memorizing a sequence; it is about building the confidence to lead a class when the music is on and eyes are on you. By the end of this course, you will have the PAI manual, the certification, and the practical experience to start teaching immediately.
