During the Anatomy course, I use hands-on demonstrations to explain concepts like spinal articulation. Here, I'm showing students how to identify and correct a flat back posture.
Theory comes to life when you see it in motion. I demonstrate a teaser, a classic Pilates core exercise, while students observe how the principles of anatomy and biomechanics apply in practice.
About this collection
This 15-hour module is not about memorizing textbook diagrams. It is where you learn to see the body in motion. I teach you to identify postural imbalances, spinal articulation, and joint mechanics in real time, so when you eventually walk into a studio to teach, you know exactly why a movement is or isn't working for your client.
Why Anatomy is the Foundation
Many instructor courses jump straight to choreography. I do the opposite. If you cannot explain the mechanics behind a movement, you cannot modify it for a client with back pain, a pregnant mother, or an athlete recovering from injury. This course is the prerequisite for all my Mat and Reformer certifications because it bridges the gap between following a routine and truly teaching.
What You Will Learn
- Functional Anatomy: We strip back the layers to understand how muscles, bones, and joints interact during daily movement and Pilates exercises.
- Postural Analysis: You will learn to spot common deviations like anterior pelvic tilt, rounded shoulders, or flat back posture just by observing a client walk or stand.
- Biomechanics in Practice: We apply these theories to Pilates movements. You will learn to identify which muscles are the primary movers and which are the stabilizers, helping you cue clients with precision.
- Safety & Modifications: Understanding contraindications is the difference between a safe session and an injury. I teach you how to adapt exercises so you can work with any body type or limitation.
Who This Is For
This course is designed for aspiring Pilates teachers, physiotherapists, and personal trainers in Delhi NCR who want to shift from being exercise leaders to movement experts. It is intense, hands-on, and grounded in the standards of the Pilates Academy International, New York. If you want a certification that carries weight, this is where you start.
RedMat Pilates
