Our annual summer camp is a dedicated space for children to explore their inner world through theatre, dance, and music. We follow a path of joy, teaching life skills and confidence, all rooted in the timeless wisdom of Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi.

About this collection

Instead of merely filling time with activities, our focus remains on aatma vichara (self-enquiry) disguised as play. Every child, regardless of prior experience, finds a role in our final stage production at the Ramana Maharshi Heritage Auditorium, learning to express themselves with confidence while staying grounded in our cultural heritage.

Our summer camp is an immersive journey into the arts as a form of devotion. We invite children aged 4 and above to our heritage campus in Sanjayanagara, Bengaluru, to step away from the noise of the outside world and into a space of quiet learning and creative expression.

The Curriculum

We believe that theatre, music (sangeetham), and dance (natya) are more than just hobbies—they are tools for self-discovery. Our programme for April and May blends:

  • Theatre & Storytelling: We focus on mythological themes that teach values and emotional intelligence. Children participate in script reading and dialogue delivery, helping them open up and shed hesitation.
  • Classical Arts: Children are introduced to the basics of Carnatic vocal music and Bharatanatyam mudras. It is not about performance pressure but about understanding the rhythm and discipline of these ancient forms.
  • Holistic Wellness: We integrate shloka chanting, yoga, and mindfulness to help children handle emotions and improve focus.

The Final Stage

The camp culminates in a valedictory programme at our heritage auditorium. This is not a competition; it is a celebration. We ensure that every child is included in the production, giving them the experience of stage presence and collaborative teamwork. Costumes, props, and rehearsals are managed within our centre, ensuring a stress-free environment for parents and a memorable achievement for the child.

For those who wish to continue this journey, our 'Ramana Bala Kendra' offers weekly sessions throughout the year, keeping the connection to heritage and self-awareness alive long after the summer ends. We invite you to bring your child to experience this blend of discipline, art, and inner peace.
