About Spiritual & Cultural Events
Why We Gather
Everything here revolves around Bhagavan Ramana’s path - simple, direct, and honestly, not always easy. The main thing? Asking “Who am I?” and deeply sitting with that. We don’t just talk about it, we live it, together. In Kannada, we say “naanu yaaru antha aalochane maadodu” (thinking about who am I). That’s the heart of it.
What Happens at Our Events
Our centres at Mekhri Circle and Sanjaynagar become alive with music, dance, and spiritual practice. Sadhana isn’t just silent meditation - it’s also laughter, art, and being with others on the same search. You’ll find:
- Ramana Satsang Bengaluru every Sunday - prayer, chanting, bhajans, and stories about Ramana’s life.
- Full moon spiritual celebrations (Pournami) - Ramana Bhajans, pujas, circumambulation, and sometimes a bit of magic with classical dance or music, ending with prasadam.
- Annual festivals like Maha Sivaratri (music, dance, theatre all night), Ramana Jayanthi, and big national gatherings with scholars and dance-dramas.
The Arts: Not Just for Show
Here, dance and music are worship. Expect Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Carnatic music, and theatre - sometimes by kids, sometimes by big names, always with heart.
Open to All
Anyone can walk in, no matter where you’re from. Most events are free. If you want to join Annadaana or a special ritual, there’s a way, but honestly, just being here is enough for most.

Ramana Maharshi Centre for Learning
My Story
Namo Ramana! We started this centre with Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi’s teachings in our hearts. Here, art isn’t just art—it’s prayer. We sing, dance, act, and meditate, all to ask one simple thing: ‘Who am I?’ Kids find a friend in Ramana, learning shlokas and stories. Ellarigu aadara swagata! (Warm welcome to everyone.) Whether you come for Carnatic music, Bharatanatyam, or just to sit quietly, you’ll find a space to be yourself.
