About this collection
Our gatherings are not performances to be watched, but living practices where we share in the silence and wisdom of Bhagavan Ramana. When you visit our Shrine at Mekhri Circle for a full moon or festival gathering, you are stepping into a space held by decades of collective meditation and devotion, where the music, the puja, and the discourse all aim to quiet the mind and deepen your own enquiry.
A Space for Seeking
At the Ramana Maharshi Centre for Learning, we believe that spiritual growth happens best in community. Our gatherings are anchored in the core teaching of 'Who am I?', a process of self-enquiry that we explore through every event we host. Whether you are coming for a formal memorial lecture, a monthly Pournami (Full Moon) celebration, or a festival gathering, the intent remains the same: to turn attention inward.
What Happens at Our Gatherings
- Satsang & Discourse: We host regular talks where we discuss the profound and simple teachings of Bhagavan Ramana. These are designed to be accessible to everyone, from long-time devotees to those who are simply curious about non-duality.
- Music as Devotion: You will often find 'Ramananjali' music—devotional songs that carry the spirit of enquiry. Our concerts and bhajans are presented by our senior Gurus and students, creating an atmosphere that is meditative rather than showy.
- Festivals & Puja: Events like Navaratri, Sivaratri, and Ramana Jayanthi are significant occasions here. During these times, our Shrine transforms into a space of vibrant energy, featuring night-long pujas, Sahasra Deepotsava (the lighting of 1,000 lamps), and shared Maha Prasadam.
Visiting Our Shrine
Our activities take place at the Ramana Maharshi Shrine and Meditation Hall in Sanjayanagara/Mekhri Circle. It is an open-air, non-commercial space. We do not charge entry fees for these gatherings, and we invite anyone who feels called to sit in silence or listen to the teachings to join us. We ask only for your presence and a quiet mind. If you are new to the practice, the best way to understand is to simply attend one of our upcoming programs.
