About this collection
Unlike a typical performance, every Rangollaasa here is a Bhaktha Hrudaya Spandana—an outpouring of the devotee’s heart. These debut concerts are conducted as spiritual offerings, where the dancer's repertoire includes traditional compositions and unique Ramananjali pieces, all performed within our serene Heritage Auditorium in Sanjayanagara.
In the classical tradition, a debut performance—often known as Rangapravesham—is a momentous occasion. At our Centre, we call this Rangollaasa, a term that captures the joy and devotion inherent in the art. These concerts are the fruit of years of dedication under our senior Gurus, such as Vidwan Sri Ujwal Jagadeesh, blending technical mastery with the philosophy of self-enquiry.
When a student steps onto the stage at our Heritage Auditorium, they are not merely demonstrating footwork. They are presenting a Ramananjali Nritya repertoire that mirrors the quiet depth of Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi’s teachings. From the initial Pushpanjali to the final Thillana, every item is chosen to reflect the inner journey of the seeker.
We keep these events authentic and intimate. The atmosphere is distinct, stripped of commercial theatricality, focusing instead on the Guru-Shishya parampara. Family, fellow seekers, and art connoisseurs gather to witness this transformation. Whether it is an Antarangapravesha (entry into the inner space) or a Bhaktha Hrudaya Spandana, each concert serves as a testament to the discipline fostered within our classrooms. If you are looking to support upcoming artists or understand the depth of our classical training, these concerts offer a rare glimpse into the rigorous standards we maintain.
