Behind the Lens: My Photography Workflow and Process

My shoots are rarely a solo effort. Whether it is a fashion concept or a wedding ceremony, I collaborate closely with stylists and makeup artists to get the look right. We plan the scene, set the lighting together, and keep the energy high, so you are not just posing for a camera, but living the moment while my team and I capture it.

As an engineer by degree, my approach to photography is structured and precise. I do not just show up and click; I think about the lighting, the angles, and the technical requirements before we even start. However, the creative side of me takes over when it comes to the story.

I work with a dedicated crew—stylists, makeup artists, and designers. If we are doing a fashion shoot, we plan the wardrobe and the mood board weeks in advance. For weddings, it is about blending into the crowd to catch the candid shots while my traditional photographers handle the family groups and rituals.

People often tell me it is hard to choose their favorite photos from a shoot, and that is the goal. I want every frame to stand out. Whether I am shooting a celebrity portfolio or a family gathering, I am looking for that one second where the expression is real. Nanna kelasadalli (in my work), I believe that eyes tell the real story, and I chase that in every frame. We use Sony and Canon mirrorless gear along with Godox lighting to ensure the results are crisp, even in low-light conditions.
