About Traditional & Bridal Portraits

Lighting is everything in a traditional portrait shoot. I don't just rely on natural sun; I carry a setup of battery-powered strobes to ensure the detail in your gold jewelry and the rich texture of your saree actually stand out in the final frame. If you are planning a specific bridal look, we can discuss how to highlight your jewelry and makeup before the camera even comes out.

My approach to bridal and traditional portrait photography is strictly collaborative. I don't believe in just showing up and clicking; I work closely with stylists, makeup artists, and designers to ensure everything aligns with the aesthetic we have in mind.

Whether it's a Kanjeevaram saree shoot or a detailed bridal portrait, the goal is always the same: 'ashtu chennagi bandide'—making sure it comes out just right. My process involves:

  • Lighting & Gear: I use mirrorless cameras paired with Godox lighting setups to control highlights and shadows, especially when we are working with reflective temple jewelry or intricate silk embroidery.
  • Directed Posing: I offer guidance on poses that look natural rather than stiff, helping you feel comfortable so the joy in your expressions is genuine.
  • Attention to Detail: From the way the hair is arranged to the drape of the pallu, I ensure the small elements are framed correctly.

I have worked with actors and models across Karnataka, and I bring that same level of professional attention to detail to every personal bridal session. If you have a specific venue in mind in Bangalore or anywhere across the state, let me know. We can plan the time of day and the styling to make the best use of the available light.

I’m Kiran, and my favorite part of a shoot is when the subject catches a glimpse of the photo on my camera screen and smiles. Whether it’s a celebrity project or a personal bridal session, I believe the eyes tell the real story. I keep the process collaborative so you feel comfortable enough to just be yourself.
