We don’t just teach dance; we grow together. From our auspicious Vidyarambham beginnings to our annual Navaratri performance series, Samarpana is a space for tradition, shared learning, and cultural connection.

Wishing everyone a Navaratri filled with devotion. This is the first video from our Navaratri series, where I perform a small piece to celebrate the festival.

Our Navaratri series continues with my student Manasvi honoring Brahmacharini, the second form of Goddess Durga. These performances are a way for students to connect with the cultural stories behind our art.

A group photo from our Vidyarambham ceremony at Samarpana Dance Academy. This auspicious day marks the beginning of learning for new students, and we celebrate it together as a community.

Dancers Durga and Panchami performing for our Navaratri Series. It's wonderful to see students of different ages and levels come together to celebrate through dance.

My student Ishitha performing for our Navaratri series. These festive performances give students an opportunity to dance outside of their regular class curriculum and share their art.

Akshadha performs for Day 8 of Navaratri, honoring Mahakali. Through these dances, students learn about the different forms of the goddess and the qualities they represent.

Vibhusha performs for our Navaratri series. These short, informal performances are a great way to build confidence and celebrate our shared culture.

Another performance from our Navaratri series, featuring my student Niya. It's a joy to see the whole academy participate in these festive celebrations.

My student Esha performing for our Navaratri series. Her joyful expression and graceful movements capture the festive spirit of the occasion.

Tanmayi performs for our Navaratri series. These celebrations are an integral part of life at Samarpana, fostering a sense of community and cultural connection among the students.

About Samarpana Academy: Events & Community

Joining our community means more than attending a weekly class. Whether it is participating in our student-led Navaratri series or marking a child's first steps during our Vidyarambham ceremony, we build our syllabus around shared cultural milestones. This gives our dancers the confidence to perform together in a safe, supportive group environment long before they face the stage alone.

We believe that dance thrives in a community. While solo practice is vital for technical mastery, our events bring everyone together to celebrate the art form in its most vibrant, expressive state. This is where a student’s technical training meets the joy of sharing art with fellow dancers and their families. We host our classes at our Whitefield academy, but our reach is about helping students feel part of a long-standing tradition. Our events are structured to reduce performance anxiety, allowing even the youngest learners to find their rhythm in a supportive group setting. Whether you are looking for foundational training for your child or adult Bharatanatyam classes in Bengaluru, you’ll find that our academy prioritizes emotional growth and cultural awareness just as much as the adavus (basic steps). We create opportunities for students to perform in a safe space, learning the art of Abhinaya (expression) and the history of our traditions together. By weaving these community celebrations into our teaching, we ensure that students see dance as a lifelong companion rather than just a skill to be mastered.

I’m Preetha, and at Samarpana, I don’t just train dancers—I nurture a family. We celebrate the rituals of our art because dance is a lifelong companion, not just a skill to check off. Come see how we learn, grow, and perform as a community.
