Special Days and Field Trips at Prayag Montessori
We believe learning happens everywhere, not just at a desk. From settling into the first day of school to exploring the community, we create meaningful experiences that help children connect with the real world.

About Special Days & Field Trips
Our approach to special days is built on intentionality, whether it is easing a child into their first day with thoughtful photo activities or turning Environment Day into a tactile experience with clay seed balls. Instead of just observing, our students participate directly in activities like fire station visits, where they learn safety concepts through hands-on demonstrations rather than just listening to lectures.
At Prayag Montessori, we view every event as an extension of our curriculum. When we take students on a field trip to a fire station, it is not just a day out. It is a lesson in critical thinking where they differentiate between controllable and uncontrollable fires through interactive demonstrations. This practical exposure helps solidify the concepts they learn in the classroom.
Our celebrations are similarly structured to foster independence and community. During our 'First Day of School' program at our JP Nagar, Jayanagar, and Padmanabhanagar branches, we use personalized photo frames and orientation activities to remove the anxiety of separation. We want children to associate the school entrance with security and excitement rather than pressure.
Even our festive events serve a purpose. Whether it is making clay Ganeshas for Deepawali or arranging Onam rangolis, we use these moments to teach cultural appreciation and fine motor skills. We keep classes calm and groups small so that every child, regardless of age, feels comfortable participating. If you visit us during these events, you will see a school that feels less like an institution and more like a vibrant, growing family.
