About Behind the Scenes: My Process & Philosophy
Here is the honest truth about my shoots: I do not expect your pet to sit perfectly still. In fact, if they want to run around, get the zoomies, or hide in a corner, I welcome it. My job is to move with them, squatting, crawling, or even running alongside them to capture their true essence in the moment, rather than forcing a stiff pose they aren't comfortable with.
It's More Than Just a Photo
When I first picked up a camera in my 40s, I did not set out to build a business. I set out to find a bit of joy. That is exactly what I want to bring to you. My photography philosophy is built on the idea that the session itself is the memory. When you look back at these photos years from now, I want you to remember the laughter we shared, the way your pet acted, and the fun you had—not just the final digital files.
Why I Move the Way I Do
If you see me squatting, climbing on something, or crawling on the ground during our session, that is just my gym and biking background kicking in! I believe that to get a unique perspective of your pet, I need to get down to their level. Whether we are in your home in Bangalore or at a local park, I am always ready to adapt my positioning to get that one shot that feels like your pet.
The Editing Process
I often get asked about the difference between a raw file and the final image. A raw file captures the moment, but the editing process is where I breathe the final story into it. I focus on color grading and tonal adjustments that highlight the emotion of the scene. I do not believe in changing who your pet is, but I do believe in enhancing the mood to make the memory pop.
My Commitment to You
- No Stiff Posing: If your pet is energetic, we lean into that energy. That is where the magic happens.
- Inclusive Sessions: Whether you have one dog or a full gang, I am used to the chaos. My record is six dogs in one frame, so bring the whole crew.
- Authentic Experiences: From indoor studio paw-traits to outdoor adventures, my goal is always to keep things real and fun.
