You don't need to worry about your pet posing perfectly for the camera. My outdoor sessions are basically playdates where I happen to be shooting. Whether your dog is a high-energy zoomie-machine or a cautious explorer, I move with them, not against them, ensuring we get photos of them just being themselves.
If you've ever tried to get a hyperactive dog to stay still for a photo, you know the struggle. That is exactly why I prefer the outdoors. When we head to a park, a trail, or the beach, your pet can actually be a pet.
My outdoor sessions focus on that 'Signature Lifestyle' energy. We schedule these during golden hour whenever possible because the light does wonders for a pet's coat and creates that soft, dreamy look. I am not looking for stiff poses. I am looking for the messy, fun stuff—the tongue-out running, the sniffing of new grass, and the genuine joy of being outside.
I’ve photographed everything from beach sprints to quiet forest walks, and I’ve learned that the best results happen when I get on the ground and meet them at their level. Don't worry if your dog is reactive or shy; I have experience with all types of temperaments and we will keep the distance and pacing that makes your pet feel safe.
These sessions are perfect for active families who want memories of their pets in their natural habitat. We’ll capture plenty of candid motion shots, but I always make sure to snag a few 'posed' portraits if they happen to pause for a breath. By the end of our time together, you’ll have a gallery that feels like a highlight reel of your pet's favorite day out.
