I do not just take photos of pets. I document their true personalities, from the goofy quirks of a foster puppy to the quiet dignity of a senior shelter resident.

This is me with a friend I made in the mountains. My love for dogs is the foundation of my work. Every interaction, whether on a mountaintop or in a studio, is built on respect and a desire to connect.

A couple of fun self-portraits with my senior dog, Laika. She's been my muse and test model for 13 years. My journey into pet photography started with her, and she has taught me everything I know about patience and capturing an animal's spirit.

A behind-the-scenes look at the hard work and fun that goes into our annual calendar shoot for CARE. It takes a dedicated team and a lot of patience, but seeing the final product and knowing it helps the shelter makes it all worthwhile.

This video is a reflection on our relationship with community animals. My photography is a form of advocacy, aiming to highlight the struggles of stray animals and promote a message of coexistence and compassion.

A little humor about my training for the TCS 10k run to raise funds for CARE. While the training is tough, the real motivation is supporting the shelter's trauma care unit and making a difference for animals in need.

A glimpse into my life at home with my foster dog. Fostering is a huge part of my advocacy, and it's a constant reminder of how a safe and loving environment can transform a nervous shelter animal into a happy, trusting companion.

This is Sheru, a friendly dog I met while trekking in the Himalayas. Moments like these, connecting with local dogs and hearing their stories, are a huge perk of my work and travels.

A compilation of happy cats and kittens I've met at CARE. Spending time at the shelter, giving scratches and getting to know each cat, is a crucial part of my process before I even pick up the camera.

A short video from a hike near Bangalore, where peace in nature meets the happiness of finding a friendly dog. For me, these two things are deeply connected and are at the core of why I do what I do.

About Behind the Lens: My Process & Purpose

When I shoot, I am usually on the floor, making strange noises, or tossing treats to catch the right expression. My process is never about forcing a pose. I spend as much time as needed desensitizing an animal to my equipment, especially with rescues or seniors, because a calm, happy subject makes for an honest portrait that stays with you.
