Custom Gown and Anarkali Transformations from Sarees
Bring us your old saree and we will turn it into a custom gown or Anarkali with perfect fitting and high-quality finishing.
A grand Anarkali stitched from a royal blue brocade saree. The design includes a high neck and uses the saree's pallu for the contrasting cuffs, perfect for weddings.
An elegant Anarkali gown made from a pink pattu saree. I carefully used the original saree border on the sleeves and hem for a complete, traditional look.
A simple yet beautiful dark green gown made from a plain saree. The custom look is elevated with a hand-embellished neckline and sleeves.
This unique Anarkali was created from an ikat weave saree. The full-flair design showcases the fabric's pattern, and I added a simple border for a clean finish.
A bright and cheerful full-length gown made from a floral print saree. The flutter sleeves and flowing design make it a comfortable and stylish choice.
This yellow floral gown is another example of how a simple printed saree can be repurposed. The fit is tailored to be flattering and comfortable.
A lovely mauve floral gown stitched from a lightweight saree. I focus on very good stitching to ensure the dress flows beautifully.
For a true party look, I transformed this saree into a red off-shoulder gown with detailed beadwork and tassels. The finishing is very important for such designs.
About Gowns & Anarkalis
When we transform your saree into a gown or Anarkali, we focus on the structure first. We use 6 to 10 inch stiff canvas at the hem to keep that circular shape and full lining to ensure it sits right on your body. You get a piece that uses your fabric's natural drape, finished with padding and secure stitching so it lasts.
We love taking an old saree that has sentimental value and giving it a second life. It is not just about cutting and sewing. It is about engineering the fabric. If you bring us a heavy silk or brocade, we plan the panel cuts to show off the print while ensuring the gown has weight and flare. For lighter cottons or georgettes, we use quality butter crepe or cotton lining so the fabric feels soft against your skin but stays in place.
We work with:
- Floor-Length Anarkalis: We focus on a clean 58-inch cut. We add stiffening at the hem so it does not collapse.
- Custom Gowns: Whether you want off-shoulder, flutter sleeves, or a simple high neck, we adjust the pattern to your body.
- Detailing: We take care of the small things. We use bra cup padding for a structured bodice, double stitching at stress points like armholes, and we can even add pockets if the fabric width allows.
The process is simple. You bring your saree to our boutique in Telecom Layout, Thanisandra. We talk about the design, take your measurements, and start the work. We are very particular about the finishing because we know this saree means something to you. Our aim is to make an outfit you will actually reach for in your wardrobe.
