These are some of my most memorable moments in the wild. From the dense forests of Rajaji to the wetlands of Bhigwan, each shot reflects the patience and strategy behind every tour.
This is a close-up portrait of Maya, a stunning female leopard from Rajaji National Park. Capturing the intensity of her blue eyes was a moment of pure patience and luck, and it's these kinds of encounters I help my clients prepare for on our big cat photo safaris.
A rare sight of two Oriental Dwarf Kingfishers perched together. These colourful birds, often called the 'jewels of the forest', are a prime subject on my nature trails in the Panvel and Tamhini forests. This shot captures a quiet moment of interaction between the pair.
Thousands of flamingos bathed in the warm glow of the golden hour at Bhigwan Bird Sanctuary. I teach my tour participants how to use natural light to create such magical, atmospheric shots with beautiful bokeh effects.
Witnessing a male Great Hornbill feeding its partner is a truly special event. This photograph captures that intimate moment of courtship, a behaviour that requires deep knowledge of the habitat and a lot of patience to photograph, which I share on my birding tours.
An Indian Wolf making a rare appearance at Bhigwan. Spotting elusive mammals like this is part of the thrill of my wildlife tours. We'll work on getting your camera settings right to nail these unexpected, once-in-a-lifetime shots.
This is what it feels like to be on the trail with me. We venture deep into the forest, away from the crowds, searching for that perfect shot. This video shows me with my gear, fully immersed in the environment, ready for any opportunity.
The famous 'Pink Traffic Jam' of Navi Mumbai. It's an incredible spectacle to see thousands of flamingos right in the middle of an urban landscape. My local tours focus on capturing this unique coexistence of nature and city life.
A collage showcasing the vibrant diversity of birds we can find on my photography tours across India. From the brilliant Blue Naped Monarch to the majestic Steppe Eagle, each trip offers a chance to build a colourful and varied portfolio.
About Featured
These aren't just snapshots; they are the result of hours spent understanding animal behaviour and positioning myself for the light. Whether I am hiding in a blind for a Kingfisher or drifting on a boat for flamingos, every frame here reflects the real, unfiltered nature you will see on my tours. If you want to move beyond auto-mode and capture these moments yourself, let's talk.
This collection is a highlight reel of my journey as a birder and photographer. It captures the raw moments that keep me hooked, from the elusive female leopard in Rajaji National Park to the rare Indian Wolf in Bhigwan. These aren't accidental captures. They come from knowing the terrain and anticipating movement. On my tours, we don't just drive around hoping for a sighting. We plan for it.
The Technical Reality I shoot almost everything with my Nikon D7500 and the 200-500mm lens. It gives me the reach I need without disturbing the subjects. When you join a tour, I share exactly how I use this gear. We talk about:
- Shutter speeds for birds in flight.
- Managing high ISO for low-light forest shots.
- Using golden hour lighting to get that creamy bokeh you see in my flamingo photos.
Where we go
- Navi Mumbai: My home turf. Perfect for the 'pink traffic jam' of flamingos, or as we call it, 'Rohit pakshanche gaav'.
- Panvel & Tamhini: Where we hunt for the Oriental Dwarf Kingfisher.
- Bhigwan: Best for wolves, storks, and ibis.
- Rajaji, Kanha, Kabini: My go-to spots for big cats.
If you are looking to start capturing stories in the wild, let’s get out on the trail together.

I'm a birder based in Navi Mumbai. My camera is my therapy, and I spend my days chasing everything from local flamingos to leopards in the deep forest. I don't believe in forced poses; I believe in waiting for the moment when nature shows its true self.
