In a huge flock, I focused my lens to find this perfect moment where two flamingos formed a heart shape with their necks. It’s like they were the stars of the show, standing out in the beautiful chaos.25
This shot is a great example of how flamingos get their color. This juvenile is still mostly grey but is developing its signature pink hue under its wings from its diet of algae and crustaceans.
