A curated look at the moments that define my journey—from the raw power of a tiger's gaze to the delicate life in our wetlands.

This is the moment that defines my work. Locking eyes with a tiger is a powerful, humbling experience that words can't fully describe. This intense, close-up portrait captures the raw spirit and majestic glare of the true king of the jungle.

I live for moments of pure art in nature, like this flamingo creating a perfect mirror image on the water. The reflection was so clear, it felt like the world had turned upside down. This shot shows the beautiful symmetry and grace found in the wetlands of Navi Mumbai.

There is nothing quite like the thrill of a tiger walking straight towards your safari jeep. This male, with his confident stride and powerful presence, owned the jungle track. It is an adrenaline-filled encounter that showcases the unpredictable nature of a jungle safari.

A spotted deer pauses in the gentle monsoon rain, its spots like jewels against the lush green foliage. The atmosphere was so peaceful and magical. Capturing wildlife in different weather conditions reveals a whole new side to their world.

The Malabar Flameback woodpecker is a flash of color in the forest. I was so excited to get this clear shot showcasing its fiery yellow wings and vibrant red crest. Finding and photographing these stunning birds in the forests of Wayanad is always a rewarding challenge.

A quiet moment with a gentle giant. This elephant was using its tusk to rest its trunk, a behavior I had never seen up close before. It is these intimate, personal encounters that reveal the unique personalities of these incredible animals.

This tiny Purple Shore Crab was one of the most challenging subjects I have ever photographed. Using a 600mm lens for such a small creature required immense patience, but capturing its vibrant blue claws and intricate details was incredibly rewarding. It proves that even the smallest creatures have big stories.

A simple silhouette of a bird against the sparkling water at dusk. I love playing with light and shadow to create artistic wildlife portraits. This image isn't just about the bird, but about the feeling of tranquility and beauty at the water's edge.

About Featured

These images are my 'keeper' shots—the ones that represent the culmination of hours of silence in a safari jeep. You will notice a mix of wide habitat shots and intimate portraits here. Whether it is a tiger's glare or a flamingo's reflection, I shoot with my Sony 200-600mm lens to get close enough to see the fine details, while staying far enough back that the animals remain completely undisturbed.

Nature doesn't follow a schedule, and that is exactly why I love it. This collection is a summary of the wild surprises I have encountered, ranging from the tiger reserves of Tadoba and Pench to the quiet wetlands of Navi Mumbai.

My Approach to Wildlife

I believe the best wildlife photography happens when you are invisible. My process is simple: I get into the field, whether it is a forest trail or a mud track, and I wait. It is rarely about chasing the animal; it is about being patient until the animal reveals itself. You might see a tiger in these photos, but what you don't see are the hours of waiting in a jeep, watching for pugmarks, and listening to the alarm calls of langurs.

What You Will Find

  • Big Cats: Portraits of individuals I have tracked over several safaris, like Choti Madhu and Shambhu. I focus on eye contact and natural behavior, not posed shots.
  • Avian & Macro: From the vibrant crest of a Malabar Flameback woodpecker to the complex behavior of shore crabs, I love capturing the details that most people drive right past.
  • Environmental Portraits: Sometimes the story isn't just the animal, but the animal in its home. I try to frame the light, the rain, and the foliage to show why these habitats are worth protecting.

Why This Matters

Every time I pack my camera, my goal is to document the wild as it truly is. I don't use bait or playback sounds to get a reaction. If you are interested in joining a session, whether for birding in Thane or a full-day jungle expedition, my focus will always be on capturing real moments while respecting the creature's space.
