From the lions of Gir to the urban wetlands of Navi Mumbai, these frames are my personal highlights. This collection captures the patience and persistence required to document India’s diverse wildlife.

A young Asiatic lioness from the pride, resting in the golden morning light of Gir National Park. They weren’t hunting or moving, just existing, and in that stillness, I felt the immense power and presence of these magnificent animals.

A flamingo rises above the flock, its wings spread wide against the lush backdrop of Navi Mumbai's wetlands. This shot is a celebration of life and a call to action to protect these vital urban habitats that are under constant threat.

This video captures the essence of a safari in Gir National Park. From the anticipation of driving down a forest road to the incredible sight of a lioness and her playful cubs, this is the experience that awaits you in the last home of the Asiatic Lion.

The vibrant fan-throated lizard puts on a spectacular display in the scrublands of Maharashtra. Capturing this burst of color requires patience and an understanding of animal behavior, skills I share on my specialized expeditions.

A Tawny Eagle soars effortlessly over the green fields of Jaisalmer. Capturing birds in flight is a technical challenge that requires quick thinking and a deep connection with your gear, freezing a perfect moment of wild freedom.

This is the shot I live for. The Oriental Dwarf Kingfisher, a tiny bird often called the "colour bomb," with its hard-earned meal. Capturing this moment required immense patience and waiting for the perfect light to make its rainbow plumage pop against the mossy perch in Panvel, Maharashtra.8
The thrill of bird action photography is freezing a split second in time. Here, a Common Kingfisher launches from the water in Wai, Maharashtra, its reflection captured in the golden-hour glow. This shot demonstrates my ability to anticipate movement and capture the raw energy of wildlife.
There's nothing quite like the majestic presence of a Great Hornbill. I used dramatic, low-key lighting to sculpt its impressive casque and intense gaze, creating a powerful portrait that feels both intimate and grand. This was a memorable encounter in Mangaon, Maharashtra.
The Indian Paradise Flycatcher is pure elegance. This is the white morph of the species, and I framed it against a soft, earthy background in Pune to emphasize its graceful form and the incredible length of its tail feathers. It’s a testament to how I use composition to tell a story.

This leopard, walking on the edge of Mumbai, represents the core of my work: documenting the complex reality of human-animal coexistence. Capturing this moment required months of tracking and planning a remote camera setup to photograph the cat against the city lights, telling a story of shared spaces in a single frame.4

This image was captured at night using a carefully placed camera trap with multiple flashes, creating a studio-like portrait that reveals an intimate family moment rarely seen in the wild. It showcases the patience and technical precision needed for impactful wildlife photography.
My work is rooted in years of fieldwork, patiently observing and understanding the subjects I photograph. Here, I am in my element, deep within a forest habitat, searching for the perfect angle and light to tell an authentic story about the natural world.
I am honored to take my stories from the field to international stages like WildPhotos. In my talks, I share the real-life challenges and successes of conservation photography, aiming to educate and inspire audiences about the wildlife living right in our backyards.

I'll never forget this moment. The water was perfectly still, and this young flamingo stretched its wings, creating a flawless reflection. It’s a perfect example of the grace and beauty I love to capture in the wetlands.8
Action shots are my favorite challenge! I waited patiently to capture this Pond Heron at the exact moment it snatched a small crab for its meal. It’s a raw, powerful glimpse into the daily life of a wetland predator.
Sometimes, you feel like you're the one being watched. The fiery red eye of this Shikra, a skilled bird of prey, stared right through my lens. It's a reminder of the wild, untamed spirit of these magnificent hunters.
The forest was filled with the beautiful song of this Tickell's Blue Flycatcher. Capturing its vibrant orange and blue plumage as it sang its heart out was pure joy. These little birds have such big personalities.
