About Wildlife & Nature Photography
How I See Nature
I’m a birder from Navi Mumbai, and for me, wildlife photography is mostly about waiting. Sometimes I’ll spend hours just watching, hoping for that one surprise sighting. My camera is always ready, but honestly, patience is my real skill.
What I Love to Capture
Birds are my main thing. I chase moments like a kingfisher diving, a flock taking off, or the flamingos crowding the creek. I also photograph other wildlife when I get lucky - leopards, wolves, jackals, you name it. Sometimes, the best shot is just the landscape itself, like a silhouette at golden hour or the crazy pink traffic jam of flamingos.
My Patch: Navi Mumbai’s Flamingo Village
My home is right next to the creek, and it’s wild how many birds show up here. Locals say, 'खारीचे बाजूला हाय माझा गाव... रोहित पक्षांचे गाव' (My village is next to the creek... the village of flamingo birds). It’s something else to see thousands of flamingos together, and I try to share that feeling in my flamingo migration images.
Join Me Outdoors
I run small nature trails and photography tours for anyone who wants to learn or just shoot together. We hit spots like Bhigwan, Tamhini Ghat, or even head out to bigger parks. If you’re into animal behaviour photography or want to explore Maharashtra biodiversity hotspots, I’m always up for it.
A Bit of Recognition
A couple of my shots made it to the top exhibits in the Sony All India Corporate Photography Contest 2022. That was a good feeling, but honestly, it’s the chase and the wait that keeps me hooked.

My Story
Hi, I'm Aashish. Camera is my therapy, honestly. Whether I’m chasing rain in the forest for my 'Monsoon Dairies' or just waiting on my 18th floor balcony in Navi Mumbai, I love the thrill of a surprise sighting. खारीचे बाजूला हाय माझा गाव... (my village is near the creek, Karave, flamingo birds’ place). Sharing this wild beauty, right here in the city, that’s what keeps me hooked.
My Work
Birds and Wildlife Photography - I capture moments of birds and animals in their own world, from tiny flycatchers to flamingos and leopards.
Authentic Nature Shots - No forced poses. I wait for those real, raw moments - like a bird in flight or a sudden splash.
Local Guide for Surprise Sightings - Know the hidden wildlife spots in Maharashtra? I do. I can show you where the magic happens, especially Maharashtra wetlands.
Nikon Gear for Detail - I use my Nikon D7500 and 200-500mm lens to get close, detailed shots without disturbing nature.
