Welcome to the heart of Paper Crane Lab. Here, we mix technology with art, creating a space where you can build, experiment, and learn at your own pace.

Young makers proudly displaying their finished paper circuit projects. This is what it's all about for us: that moment of excitement when you create something that lights up.

Hello hello! Here's a quick look at our Intro to 3D Printing workshop. We'll show you how to go from a digital design on your laptop to a physical object you can hold in your hand.

See our laser cutter in action! In this workshop, participants learn to design and create their own beautifully detailed engraved coasters to take home.

We love seeing what our members build with the PCL Pass! Here’s a member showing off a custom kitchen timer he designed and built using our 3D printer and electronics workbench.

Learn the art of soldering by creating these cool glowing LED sculptures. It's a perfect introduction to electronics, blending art with circuits in a fun, hands-on way.

There's something so satisfying about folding paper into a beautiful, functional object. Our origami box workshop is a relaxing way to spend an evening and learn a new skill.

This is what happens when you mix art with code. Here's a look at some of the amazing generative art created by students using p5.js in one of our creative coding classes.

About this collection

When you join our workshops, there is one practical thing to remember: please bring your own laptop. Whether we are laser cutting custom designs or coding in p5.js, having your own machine ready means we can get straight to the fun part of making things instead of spending time on software setup. Most of our tools rely on open-source software like TinkerCAD or Inkscape, so having your device ensures you can take your designs home to work on later.

The images you see here are a snapshot of what happens daily at our makerspace in Indiranagar. This cluster highlights the spirit of our work: we are not a classroom with boring theory, but a lab where tech becomes tangible.

Why we do what we do

We believe technology shouldn't be intimidating. That is why our machines—from the 3D printers we have affectionately named to our laser cutters—are chosen specifically for their low barrier to entry. We want you to walk in, plug and play, and feel that making is easy. Whether you are looking for 3D printing workshops in Bangalore to create custom keychains, or you want to learn electronics through soldering LEDs, our goal is to help you prototype your ideas.

What you can expect

  • Hands-on Experimentation: You won't just watch; you will use industrial lab equipment. You design it, you cut it, you solder it, and you take it home.
  • A Community of Makers: Our space is a mix of hobbyists, students, and curious adults. The PCL Pass acts like a gym membership for your creative projects, giving you access to our vinyl cutters, woodworking tools, and electronics benches.
  • No Gatekeeping: If you have never held a soldering iron or used a laser cutter, you are exactly the person we want to see. We provide the guidance, the tools, and the encouragement; you bring the curiosity.

From weekend hobby classes to intensive STEM camps, our workshops are designed for anyone aged 14 and above to jump in and start building. If you have an idea, bring it to the lab and let’s see if we can make it real.
