Another poster for our popular "Intro to 3D Printing" workshop. We run these sessions regularly to make the technology accessible to anyone who is curious about it.
A unique workshop that combines 3D printing with traditional printmaking. Participants design and 3D print their own custom stamps, which they then use to create unique prints on paper.
In this workshop, we focus on a fun and practical application of 3D printing: creating custom cookie cutters. It's a great way to learn 3D design while making something you can use in the kitchen.
About this collection
You don't need to be an expert to join; just bring your own laptop and a bit of curiosity. We will provide the machines, the materials, and the guidance, but the mess and the fun—that is all part of the process.
We aren't a traditional classroom. At Paper Crane Lab, we believe the best way to learn tech, whether it is 3D printing, laser cutting, or coding, is by actually making things that interest you. Our workshops are designed to be accessible, which means we strip away the intimidating jargon and focus on plug and play experimentation.
When you walk into our Indiranagar space, expect a bit of creative chaos. You will be working with real industrial tools, like our 3D printers and laser cutters, to turn your ideas into physical objects. Maybe you are designing a custom cookie cutter, printing your own jewelry, or learning how to operate a vinyl cutter. We don't just lecture; we guide you through the design process, help you troubleshoot your files, and then let the machine do the heavy lifting.
Most sessions are beginner-friendly and open to anyone 14 and up, though we occasionally host special events for younger makers. All you really need is your own laptop and an open mind. We keep our groups small so everyone gets a chance to fiddle with the machines and ask questions. If you get stuck, that is actually the point; we love figuring out why something didn't print quite right or how to tweak a design for a better cut.
Keep an eye on our schedule for rotating topics like enclosure design, printmaking, or stop-motion animation. Every workshop is meant to be a stepping stone into the world of digital fabrication. If you have been wanting to learn a new skill without the pressure of a formal course, this is your sign to come over, tinker, and make something cool.
