About MMA Training in Action
Training here isn’t just about hitting pads; it’s about control. During our Wednesday wrestling and BJJ sparring sessions, you learn to fight from a position of disadvantage because that’s what happens in a real conflict. We focus on the 'why' behind every takedown and guard pass, so you aren't just memorizing moves—you are learning how to use your body effectively under pressure.
Our MMA training at the Sector 46 academy follows a clear philosophy: no fake moves, no ego, just results. When you watch our training in action, you’ll notice we don't treat Muay Thai, Boxing, and BJJ as separate silos. We integrate them into a hybrid system that prepares you for real-world scenarios.
What Training Looks Like
- Striking & Defense: We start with the basics of footwork and stance. You learn to control distance using Muay Thai combinations and boxing, ensuring you aren't just swinging wildly but are setting up your shots.
- Grappling & Groundwork: This is where many fights end up. Our BJJ sessions, both Gi and No-Gi, focus on leverage and positional control. Whether you are working on a takedown or escaping a mount, you learn to stay calm even when the pressure is high.
- Wrestling Drills: Every Wednesday, we dedicate time to wrestling takedowns. The goal is to give you the choice of where the fight goes. If you want to keep it standing, you learn the sprawl; if you want to take it to the mat, you learn the shot.
- Recovery: We wrap up sessions with yoga and pranayama. Real training is exhausting, and this keeps your body mobile and your mind sharp.
We train in a non-AC, garage-style dojo using standard mats. It’s gritty, it’s real, and it’s effective. Whether you are here for self-defense or want to compete in tournaments, the work we do on these mats will change how you carry yourself.
