What happens in our kitchen is a constant conversation between two generations. It is Nita deciding the core flavor profile based on years of culinary expertise, while I figure out how to serve it live or with a contemporary twist that genuinely surprises your guests.
The foundation of NM Foods is rooted in decades of kitchen research. When Chef Nita Mehta began her career, the focus was on perfecting the fundamentals of Indian cooking through her books. Today, that knowledge serves as the bedrock of our catering service.
When I joined the team, the goal was to take those classic flavors and adapt them for modern social settings. We realized that people do not just want food; they want an engaging experience. This led us to move beyond standard buffet formats. Instead, we introduced live stations where the cooking process becomes part of the entertainment.
For example, we took a standard pizza and experimented until we created our signature makhani gravy version. It is this mix of Nita's traditional flavor balance and my experimental approach that defines our work. Whether we are setting up a grazing table for a corporate event or managing a live chaat counter for a wedding in Delhi NCR, the objective remains the same. We provide food that is technically sound, visually striking, and practical for your guests to interact with.
