Yoga & Wellness Retreats with Nishtha Bijlani
These gatherings are a dedicated time to retreat within. I host immersive experiences in places like the Himalayas and tropical islands, where we mix daily yoga, meditation, and community connection to help you find your way back home to yourself.
An invitation to my Ladakh Yoga Retreat. This poster captures the essence of our journey: finding stillness and presence amidst the raw beauty of the Himalayas.
This is why I host yoga retreats. It's a journey that began with my own search for solitude and led me to the mountains, forests, and oceans. These gatherings are my way of creating a space for others to find that same sense of home within themselves, supported by a like-minded community.
A moment of collective breathwork during our Ladakh retreat at Nimmu House. The traditional wooden architecture and prayer flags create a sacred space for us to practice together, moving as one.
Here I am demonstrating Vasisthasana (Side Plank Pose) to the group in Ladakh. My retreats include workshop-style classes where we break down poses, focusing on alignment and building strength with awareness.
The focus and strength of students in Virabhadrasana II (Warrior II) during our Ladakh retreat. It's beautiful to witness everyone embodying the spirit of the warrior with such grace and determination.
The final moments of a class are for deep rest in Savasana (Corpse Pose). In the sunlit shala at our Uttarakhand retreat, students absorb the benefits of their practice, finding complete stillness.
Hands-on adjustments are a key part of my in-person teaching. Here, I'm providing support in a forward fold, helping a student find more length and release in their lower back.

A glimpse into our Aarambh retreat at the source of the River Ganga. We used props like yoga belts for Supta Padangusthasana to safely deepen our hamstring stretches, all while surrounded by the sacred energy of Gangotri.
About Yoga & Wellness Retreats
My retreats are not about perfecting a handstand or chasing an aesthetic pose. They are about what happens when you remove the noise of the city. Whether we are in the crisp mountain air of Ladakh or on the coast in Lombok, we use props like wall ropes and bolsters to support the body, while the daily rhythm of stillness and nature supports the mind. It is not an escape, just a necessary check-in.
Why a Retreat
I believe that growth often happens in a collective. When you step out of your daily routine and land in a place like Dunagiri or Nimmu House, the change of scenery acts as a mirror. My retreats combine dynamic morning flows to wake up the body with restorative evening sessions focusing on pranayama and stillness. This rhythm helps shift your state from the gross to the subtle, calming the nervous system.
The Methodology
We don't just roll out mats; we build a foundation. I integrate Iyengar-inspired techniques, using wall ropes, wooden blocks, and chairs. These tools allow you to explore alignment safely, regardless of your experience level. If you are stiff or recovering from an injury, these props become your best friends, allowing you to hold postures longer and deeper than you might in a standard, props-free class.
Nature as a Teacher
Our locations are deliberate. From the sacred source of the Ganga in Uttarakhand to the surfing waves of Indonesia, nature is our primary teacher. We intersperse practice with hikes, local culture, and communal meals. My goal is for you to return to your daily life not just feeling refreshed, but having developed a toolkit—a bit of yogic gyaan, a specific breathwork technique, or a new perspective on your own monkey mind—that helps you maintain that sense of home within, even amidst the chaos of city life.
Nishtha Bijlani
I moved from a media career to the mat because I needed to find a different kind of quiet. Now, I help others do the same. I don't just teach poses; I guide you through the process of unlearning the tension we carry, using my own journey from the gross to the subtle as our shared map.
