The Bespoke Tailoring Process at Nine
From choosing Italian fabric swatches to the final fitting, here is how we build a suit that fits you perfectly.
The journey begins with the fabric. We help you choose from the world's most prestigious materials, including Dormeuil, Loro Piana, and more, to find the perfect texture and color for your garment.
"A suit as unique as you." This is the promise of bespoke. Our process starts with cutting the fabric to your exact measurements, the first step in creating something truly personal.
In the quiet focus of our workshop, every stitch is made with intent. This is where the magic happens, as fabric is transformed into fashion.
Even our brand labels are stitched with care. This small detail, featuring our crown logo, is a mark of the pride we take in our workmanship.
We source our fabrics from the finest Italian ateliers. These books from Lanificio di Marzoni are filled with materials of exceptional quality and heritage.
A selection of fabric books from the renowned Italian mill, Loro Piana. We are proud to be authorized dealers, offering you access to some of the best fabrics in the world.
Fabric books from Dormeuil, another one of our esteemed partners. The quality of the final garment starts with the quality of the raw materials.

About The Bespoke Journey: Our Craftsmanship
Most people look at the finished suit, but I start with the fabric books from mills like Dormeuil and Loro Piana. Picking the right textile is where the comfort begins, especially for our Indian weather. When you visit our studio, we lay these out, talk about your lifestyle, and make sure what we choose will not just look good in a photo, but will actually feel right when you wear it all day.
Our Approach to Bespoke Tailoring
Consultation and Selection It starts with a conversation. We do not just sell suits, we help you build a wardrobe. Whether you are looking for a Super 150s wool for a boardroom meeting or a breathable linen-silk blend for a wedding, we walk through the swatches together. My goal is to match the fabric weight and drape to your specific needs.
Construction That Lasts We use half-canvas or full-canvas construction. This matters because it allows the jacket to drape naturally against your body, rather than sitting stiffly like an off-the-rack piece. We focus on details you might not notice immediately but will feel instantly, like reinforced armholes and breathable Cupro linings that handle humidity better than polyester.
The Fitting Process This is non-negotiable for a perfect fit. We schedule at least two fittings to perfect the sleeve pitch and shoulder alignment. I personally ensure that the trouser waistband has the right grip to keep your shirt tucked and that the jacket length hits exactly where it should. We are based in Defence Colony, and this studio is where we handle everything from initial measurements to the final steam press.
Nine Styles
I started Nine twenty years ago because I was tired of heavy, stiff jackets that you could not wear in our climate. Today, I work directly with clients to build custom pieces that balance comfort with sharp tailoring.
