About A Glimpse Into Our Atelier
This isn't a retail shop where you just grab a hanger and leave. It is where we sit down with fabric swatches and talk about your actual day—what you do, where you go, and why your last jacket felt too heavy. The space is here so we can nail the fit, look at how the light hits the material, and make sure that when you leave, you have a garment that is comfortable for our Delhi weather, not just for a photo.
Welcome to our studio in Defence Colony. People often ask why I spend so much time on the atelier aspect, and the answer is simple: you cannot judge a suit by looking at a picture on a phone. You need to feel the Italian wool or the weight of the linen-silk blend. You need to see how the interlining holds the shape of the collar.
When you visit us, you are not just buying clothes. You are walking into a process. We start by discussing what is missing in your wardrobe. Maybe your current jackets feel like armor. Maybe you need something for a wedding that does not feel like a costume. We look through our fabric catalogs, pull out the books from mills like Loro Piana or Dormeuil, and we compare them.
We talk about the anatomy of the cut—what a half-canvas construction does for your movement versus a full-canvas, or why we use specific interlining to prevent collar bubbling. This is also where I showcase our collaboration with artists. Seeing the hand-painted motifs or the zardozi work from Rajasthan in person changes your perspective on what Indian menswear can be. We keep this space intimate because the best tailoring happens when there is no rush. It is just us, the fabrics, and the tape measure. Whether you are looking for a sharp tuxedo or a breathable shirt for your office, this is where we build it, stitch by stitch.
