Getting a suit made is a process, not a transaction. I sit with you, walk through fabric choices, and oversee every stitch until it fits just right. Here is how we create your outfit at our Tilak Nagar studio.

Bespoke tailoring is all about precision. Here, you can see the basting stitches on a suit jacket, a crucial step in hand-crafting a garment that is fitted to perfection for your body.

The tools of my trade. From the measuring tape to the tailor's chalk, every element is used with precision to ensure your garment is flawlessly constructed.

Every detail is crafted by hand. Here, a button is being carefully stitched onto a jacket, a small but essential step that ensures the quality and longevity of your bespoke piece.

The fitting is the most important part of the custom tailoring process. I take multiple measurements to understand your posture and shape, guaranteeing a fit that ready-made clothes can never offer.

The process begins with a pattern. Here, I am chalking out the pattern on the fabric, the first step in transforming a piece of cloth into a suit that is uniquely yours.

A glimpse into the tailoring process. The tailor's scissors and the half-finished jacket with visible basting stitches show the hands-on work that goes into every bespoke suit.

The experience of a perfect stitch. This image captures the essence of my craft, where thread, needle, and skilled hands come together to create your garment.

I believe in using only the best materials. This image showcases a premium Scabal worsted cashmere fabric, a special edition cloth for a client who wants unparalleled luxury and comfort.

About The Bespoke Journey: Fabric, Fit, and Finish

We start with a skeleton fitting. Before sewing the final garment, I have you try on the half-finished jacket. This lets me adjust the shoulders, sleeve length, and waist suppression in real-time, ensuring you never leave with a fit that is just okay.

When you walk into our Tilak Nagar studio, the first thing we do is talk. Whether you need a wedding outfit or a sharp corporate blazer, understanding the event is key to picking the right material. I walk you through our inventory, including fabrics from mills like Raymond and premium Scabal wools, explaining how each drape changes the final look.

Once the fabric is chosen, the real work begins. We take detailed measurements, looking at your posture and natural stance. Many people assume a suit is just a jacket and trousers, but it is actually a construction of structure and canvas. I personally oversee the cutting and stitching, ensuring the interlining is placed correctly so your jacket holds its shape without looking stiff.

My father, Lajpat Arya, started this legacy in 1978, and our philosophy remains simple: you should not have to visit a tailor five times for one suit. That is why we mandate a trial session. It is the only way to get that 'ekdum perfect' fit you are looking for. If you are preparing for a reception or a wedding, we can also discuss accessories like pocket squares and custom bow ties to complete the look. Come by the studio, grab a cup of tea, and let’s start your custom tailoring journey.
